Tour Directors' Dreams Come True As avid cyclists, we are pleased to offer our expertise to tour directors and bicycle clubs. Our experience includes developing the tour management systems for Dick Allen's Lansing to Mackinaw and the Shoreline Bicycle Tour and organization management software for the Tri-County Bicycle Association and the League of Michigan Bicyclists. Mapping Systems The first challenge is to measure possible alternatives. XMap measures to the foot! Establish a start and end point and insert corners along the way. Your routes will automatically calculate the distance. Do as many scenarios as you'd like. Trails too can be routed. Maps can be annotated to show rest stops, restaurants, etc. Strip maps can be printed showing any number of miles per section. Maps of riders' homes can be generated by XMap. These are especially interesting to riders when people come from long distances. Directors can use this information to refine promotion efforts. It will be obvious at a glance where your participants come from! For rides in hilly areas, elevation profiles can be established that show Tour de France style profiles as well as the statistics like the number of feet climbed and descended, etc. Click here for the 2004 DALMAC Quad Century Profiles or here for the 2004 Columbus Fall Challenge Profiles. We can easily print large scale maps to post at starting
points and deliver them to you via the mail. Data from XMap is very easily
transmitted over the internet. Management Systems |
